Campania opens its doors to the future of food and agriculture

On Thursday 24 June 2021, from 9.30 A.M. to 17.30 P.M., at the Real Sito di Carditello (San Tammaro, district of Caserta) and live streaming (on Cisco Webex platform), the Global Food Innovation Forum, organized by the Agriculture Department of the Campania Region.
Agribusiness is at the center of the challenges imposed by the next normal that awaits us in the post-Covid period. The Global Food Innovation Forum is a unique opportunity to engage, with ever greater determination, the agriculture and fisheries of our region to the European and international innovation trajectories, strengthening the collaboration and exchange between the main stakeholders of the regional system and the main players globally.
The first Global Food Innovation Forum aims to create real Practice’s Communities, which offer ideas for a structured discussion between the current and future beneficiaries of RDP funds and the main actors of the agricultural sector innovation compared to the new ones. Challenges of food security, food safety, economic, environmental and social sustainability for supply chains and rural areas.
The Global Food Innovation Forum is created with the scientific and methodological support of the Committee for New Agricultural Planning of the Campania Region in collaboration with FAO, the Future Food Institute, Food & Drink Europe, the European Knowledge Alliance ASKFOOD, the cross-KIC Food4Health, the European Commission, the National Technological Cluster for Agro-food and the National Bioeconomy Committee.
During the event, the Global Food Innovation Village will be opened with the presentation of the best startups and innovations proposed by the EIP Agri Operational Groups through a virtual exhibition that will allow you to get to know the protagonists of innovation who can define the future of food.
