To achieve all the objectives, SMARTCHAIN applies an overarching open innovation concept where the various actors involved in the project are working together to make best use of complementary types of knowledge for the co-creation and diffusion of solutions ready to implement in practice.

SMARTCHAIN will generate concrete actions for knowledge transfer, through the organisation of at least 18 innovation workshops and training activities for farmers and short food supply chain entrepreneurs.

9 Innovation & Collaboration Hubs will be established from the very beginning of the project in France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Serbia, Spain  and Switzerland.
